Summer is on the Horizon!

The flowers are still blooming as we move into our summer season.  Temperatures are moderate, 80 - 90 degrees, still tolerable for most!

With the onset of May, we look forward to graduations, school coming to an end for another year and summer vacations!  Savannah is a great family vacation spot!  Something for everyone!

In the Historic District, the Civic Center is hosting the Savannah Mega Comic Con on May 12th-13th,  Savannah Theater is a great choice, step out of the heat and enjoy some "live" entertainment!  Don't forget Mother's Day is on the 13th, a trip to Savannah may be just what she needs!

A few miles away from the city, things are picking up on Tybee Island, the lighthouse has reopened and ready for visitors!  On 5/11, Tybee is hosting the Beach Bum Volleyball Tournament & the SCAD Sand Art exhibit.  5/18th, the Beach Bum Parade!  Bring your favorite water gun and have a blast!

A few other places to visit along the way to Tybee, stop in and visit Old Fort Jackson, whether to stand in formation or to hear the cannon firings, the fort is a fabulous side trip! Or maybe you'd like to stop at Oatland Island Wildlife Center, walk through this nature center and enjoy the wildlife!

As summer approaches we are looking forward to seeing many tourists and hope you'll be one of them!
