Savannah Blog...

Starting a new year, 2018!

As we begin a new year, with new beginnings we look forward to the possibilities. Savannah is going to be 285 years old, from our founding in 1733.  Although we are quite old, new things are happening here all of the time!  The City keeps growing with new opportunities, new hotels, new restaurants and new and exciting things to do!

Segway of Savannah has been operating in Savannah for over 9 years and we have seen many changes in that length of time.  We are now offering walking tours in the City as well as the Victorian cemeteries, both Bonaventure and Laurel Grove. Our tour guides are all vastly experienced with Savannah history and have great passion for her.

As the year begins we are excited about the upcoming events on the City calendar.  January 26 - February 4 is Restaurant Week, great for you foodies!  February is a big month in Savannah, we were founded on February 12th, so on February 11th the City offers Super Museum Sunday, all of the City museums have free admission for the day!  The weekend of February 17th & 18th we begin our journey with the Irish, the Irish Festival is held during that weekend in preparation for our St. Patrick's Day celebration!  St. Patrick's Day will be a very large event this year as it falls on a Saturday!  Erin Go Bragh!

Moving into the Spring entices all of us to get outside and enjoy her splendor, the beautiful azaleas blooming and the ambiance and charm of a city revisted with a glorious past!
